Summit Aviation at Thaden Field in Bentonville, AR is looking for a skilled A&P Mechanic to perform meticulous inspections, maintenance, and repairs on general aviation aircraft. This role is essential in ensuring that all work complies with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications, reinforcing our dedication to safety and operational excellence.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position located in Bentonville, Arkansas. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on aircraft according to regulatory standards and company procedures.
- Diagnose, repair, and replace aircraft components, including engine, flight controls, and structural elements.
- Utilize the latest manufacturer's data and checklists to ensure accurate and thorough inspections.
- Document all work performed
- Comply with all FAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring the safety and protection of all parts, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance and other team members to address technical issues and support ongoing improvements in maintenance practices.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and participate in required training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general aviation maintenance. 3 - 5 years experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance procedures, and inspection protocols.
- Proficiency with digital recordkeeping systems; experience with Flight Schedule Pro is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces.
- Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.
- Must be able to lift and pull objects weighing up to 70 pounds at a time.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools or make adjustments and repairs.
- Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
- Must be able to hear well enough to test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft.
