Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Youth Development Associate Program Director will work directly with the Youth Development Program Director and Site Supervisors to oversee the daily operation of school age programs including school year and summer at the Y.

Responsibilities:● Manages, coordinates and maintains assigned school age programs.
● Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates Site Supervisors.
● Conducts staff meetings and assists with planning training.
● Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergency procedures.
● Coordinates and maintains positive public relations and clear communications with families, staff, volunteers, and site personnel
● Maintains required child/staff ratio. Supports arrangement for site subs and fills in as needed
● Implement child care programs in accordance with YMCA Child Care Standards and Expanded Learning policies.
● Ensure safety of site and children by following health care plans, risk management requirements and emergency procedures in conformity with YMCA, Expanded Learning Maintain policies and site/district requirements.
● High school graduate or equivalent.
● 21 years of age or older.
● 48 college credits and/or approved district paraprofessional test
● Bachelor’s degree or A.A. in education, child development, recreation or related field (preferred) or five year’s experience in related field.
● Four or more years of site supervision.
● Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with diverse populations
