About us: Seeking a HIGH ENERGY Fluoroscopy Tech for a fast paced and team orientated Multi-Specialty Surgical Center. The facility is a state-of-the-art surgery center conveniently located off the 57 freeway, next to Angel's Stadium. The technician must be a great team player and love working with patients, support staff, and doctors in a surgical setting.
Position Objective: Perform x-rays for using imaging machines (C-Arm) and tools to create a map if a patients body needs imaging. Their duties include explaining procedures to patients, calibrating imaging equipment and preparing results. Follow established radiology requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety. **Experience with GE One or other GE fluoroscopic products is a plus.**

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patients body needs imaging
Assist with patient positioning and transport in and out of the operating room.
Correctly position the patient in Operating Room, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position depending on the procedures such as Pain Management, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Podiatry.
Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to patients, providers, and self.
Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
Keep good patient records and maintain Fluoroscopy Folder organized for regulatory compliance audits.
Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Oversee the correct use and return of Dosimeter badges for quality reporting.
Perform and document weekly QC on fluoroscopic equipment, and report any abnormalities to administrator.
Assist Administrator and Clinical Manager with facility duties during low volume fluoroscopy days. These duties include but are not limited to:
- Terminal Cleaning of Operating Rooms
- Assist with stocking and organizing of supply closets and operating rooms.
- Monthly facility audits
- Patient Satisfaction survey phone calls
- Filing and patient file maintenance
Education:
- Associates degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school and two (2) years of experience in a directly related area.
- MUST HAVE: Valid state Fluoroscopy license.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
- Trauma, pain management, procedure fluoroscopy, and/or surgery experience preferred.
- Clean background-check.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
To be able to calibrate and maintain radiology equipment a Radiologic Technologist needs technical knowledge.
Proficient in performing all general X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and OR procedures.
Because a Radiologic Technologist spends many hours on their feet, they must have stamina. There are also times when a Radiologic Technologist must physically help patients, which calls for physical strength.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, physicians, patients, and visitors
Ability to work in a team environment
