Windows Server Engineer - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Windows Server Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Pennington, NJ/ Chicago, IL (Hybrid). The candidate will work on cloud deployment automation and large-scale system integration, requiring knowledge of GIT, JSON, and DevOps tools like JIRA.

 

Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Windows Server Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Certifying Windows Server 2025, creating and testing server images, and migrating to Hashicorp Packer and Terraform.

• Automating server configurations and deployments using Ansible, with a deep understanding of Windows Server OS components and services.

• Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation and configuration tasks.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of automation processes with cloud infrastructure.

• Utilizing GIT for version control, managing code repositories, and working with JSON for web services.

• Participating in Agile development processes, including using JIRA for project management and tracking.

• Supporting cloud deployments, large-scale systems, and troubleshooting related issues.

• Enhancing system performance and reliability through automation and continuous integration tools.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 5-7 years of experience in Windows Server engineering and automation.

• Strong experience with Hashicorp Packer, Terraform, and cloud deployment automation.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, and GIT for code management and automation tasks.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
