Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Representative specializing in windows and doors to join our team. As an integral member of our sales force, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of windows and doors to residential and commercial clients. Your primary focus will be on generating leads, cultivating relationships, and closing sales to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, referrals, and digital marketing efforts.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs, providing expert advice, and offering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Product Knowledge and Presentation: Develop a deep understanding of our windows and doors product line, including features, benefits, and technical specifications. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the quality and functionality of our offerings.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets, expand our customer base, and increase revenue. Collaborate with the sales team and management to refine sales tactics and achieve business objectives.
- Quoting and Proposal Generation: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes and proposals for customers based on their specific needs and project requirements. Follow up on quotes in a timely manner and negotiate terms to secure sales agreements.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline efficiently by tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM software. Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to maximize sales productivity.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Customer Service and Support: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale support. Address any concerns or issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction to foster repeat business and referrals.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to coordinate efforts and deliver seamless service to customers. Share insights and best practices with colleagues to drive collective success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry, with a focus on windows and doors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, overcome objections, and close sales successfully.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand product specifications and features.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and goal attainment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
