Shaheen Parts Warehouse in Freeland is looking for an all-start, part time, wholesale parts administrative assistant!

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
SUMMARY
Assures proper control of parts administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures that credits are received for returned parts.
Matches purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards to accounting office.
Files company copies of parts counter invoices.
Submits, organizes, verifies and provides payment follow up for damage claims.
Submits, organizes, verifies and provides payment follow up for shortage claims.
Submits and provides follow up for General Motors parts subsidy programs, for example; Bump the Competition program and Overpower claims.
Submits, organizes, verifies and provides payment follow up for Sheet Metal Repair claims.
Submits, organizes, verifies and provides payment follow up for core returns.
MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, invoices and material return processes. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors, suppliers, and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
