Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and delivery of a corporate-wide wellness program.
- Determine optimum programs available on market to use.
- Lead the HealthWise Committee and conduct quarterly meetings.
- Implement presentation of wellness topics to assure employee participation and understanding.
- Management of programs to include: employee discount program, biometric screening, blood pressure, and flu shot events.
- Ensure accurate enrollment of HealthWise information and YMCA programs in the Human Resources Information System and complete data entry as needed.
- Document and analyze program utilization to recommend changes or additions.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities, health screening programs, and promotion of employee discounts.
- Establish working relationships with Company branch locations for heath and wellness.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years related experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Health/Fitness Education, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Health Promotion, or Public Health)
- Occasional travel (0-5%)
- Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
- Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or experience in similar area.
- Experience in design, implementation, and management of a health and productivity program is very desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, computer, writing and verbal skills.
- Technical knowledge required in areas of nutrition, exercise, blood pressure, cholesterol, smoking cessation and principles of behavior change.
