Job Description:
Supervisor: Construction Manager
Job Description: Operates a lattice boom type crane to hoist and move materials, raise and lower heavy weights and perform other related operation
Licenses and Certifications: Valid, OSHA-recognized crane operator certification (NCCER, NCCCO).
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
Experience: minimum one year experience operating telescoping boom crane is preferred but not required.
Physical Activity Level: Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work
with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)
Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. - Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
- May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
