?? Who is the Web Dev Project Manager?
This role plays a key role in connecting our development team and other project stakeholders, advising on solutions architecture and ensuring seamless planning and execution of all dev and technical projects.
With a strong grasp of project management principles and a highly technical background, you'll bring strategic insight to web and mobile projects, from hosting and networking to development and implementation.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into functional project specifications, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives. Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Develop and refine project scopes and proposals, ensuring clarity and alignment with client needs.
- Oversee technical development tasks, coordinating between developers and other team members.
- In conjunction with internal resources, advise on systems, frameworks, and infrastructure best suited for each project's needs. Help to select the right tools, platforms, and integrations to achieve project goals effectively.
- Identify potential risks and challenges early, offering proactive solutions to maintain project momentum and minimize disruption.
- Oversee the integration of new technology or tools, ensuring compatibility and optimized performance across project components.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate communication across teams to maintain transparency and manage expectations.
- Recognize and address scope changes, advising on solutions to maintain project integrity.
?? What do You Need?
- 7+ years of relevant experience, with expertise in project management, website development/hosting, and technology.
- Applicants from dev (as opposed to PM) backgrounds are welcome.
- Proven knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Solid experience in project scoping and client-facing communication.
- Highly knowledgeable of common hosting platforms, content management systems (CMS), and tech stacks. Experience working with dev teams.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to connect the dots and proactively identify and mitigate issues.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; certifications in project management (e.g., PMP); and marketing/advertising agency experience are pluses.
