Warehouse Runner - George P. Johnson Experience Marketing

Our Opportunity

GPJ is hiring a Warehouse Runner to join our growing team!

This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Smyrna, TN location a minimum of 5 days per week.

Your Role

You are a self-starter, adept at managing your daily workloads while remaining composed under pressure, and skillfully balancing competing priorities. Building positive and productive relationships with our vendors is a core aspect of your responsibilities, and you will collaborate closely with GPJ office personnel to ensure our deliveries consistently meet or exceed expectations.

One of your primary tasks involves making runs to our vendors to pick up essential supplies. Additionally, you are responsible for operating a range of GPJ vehicles, which includes vans, 16' box trucks, 24' box trucks, 24' flatbed trucks.

Beyond these specific duties, you are always ready to take on any other assigned responsibilities that contribute to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. This role is dynamic, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach. You thrive in this fast-paced environment, always eager to take initiative and contribute to the team's success.

Your Impact

In your role, you will have influence and responsibility over:

• Coordinating pick-ups from local vendors with the GPJ Purchasing and Logistics department.
• Verifying the accurate pick-up and delivery of items.
• Assisting warehouse/shop personnel with unloading and staging supplies.
• Assisting the shipping/receiving department in distributing small packages throughout the warehouse and front office.
• Maintaining precise records of vehicle miles and maintenance.
• Fulfilling assignments as directed by the Purchasing department. 

Your Experience

Experience & Education

• Certified Forklift operator; not required, but helpful.

Travel & Mobility

• No travel required

Your Skills

• Clean driving record
• Proficient in G Suite
• Familiar with the Nashville and surrounding areas 
• Frequent lifting of weight in excess of 25 lbs.
• Ability to work long hours, multiple days in a row
• Reliable transportation
