* Warehouse/ Inventory Room/ Shipping Clerk - TOPS Staffing

TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find an experienced Inventory Specialist to add to their growing team.   The Inventory Specialist will monitor stocking levels, verify orders, perform inventory movement, track and transact orders/shipments in order to meet customer commitments.

Contract to hire position
Inventory Specialist
Daylight shift - 7am to 3:30pm 
Pay rate - $24 to $26hr
They want a person that can do a bit of everything for them from receiving and stocking incoming items to picking and pulling parts for the assembly floor to help with shipping.  Mentioned having international shipping experience would be a plus for them.   Their is a bit of paper and computer work that goes along with this role, updating inventory counts, verifying your pulling the right part number and pulling the PO for that part so if there is an issue with it they can trace it back to the supplier and the order it came in. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.

• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.

• Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.

• Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.

• Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).

• When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors.

• Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles. 

• Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.

• Provides inventory reports to purchasing and operations management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
