About the Job
Qualified applicants for the Customer Service Associate position should have 1-3 years of customer service experience, computer proficiency, prior warehouse or shipping experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
$17-18/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
-Answer customer calls for phone orders and questions
-Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
-Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
-Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedure, routes and rates; affixes shipping labels on packed cartons
-Insert items into containers, using strapping machine
-Post weights and shipping charges and affixes postage
-Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
-Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
-Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
-Position is accountable for warehouse process and procedure in order to ensure accuracy and integrity
