About the Job
Overview:
The Quality Control Technician ensures the quality, food safety, and aesthetics of products. They follow set processes, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP), and product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and program Critical Control Points (CCP) to ensure product safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct sanitation verification and allergen separation on equipment and in designated areas.
- Accurately record and file all relevant logs and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to recipe guidelines during processing.
- Enforce compliance with food safety and worker safety practices among employees.
- Educate employees on food safety and worker safety standards.
- Issue disciplinary action as directed by management.
- Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retention, and laboratory testing as directed.
- Perform inspections on products, equipment, and machinery to ensure quality standards are met.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is beneficial.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Flexible availability, with the ability to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
