We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Wage and Hour Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in a high-profile, cutting-edge legal practice, where you will be responsible for handling wage and hour class and representative actions. You will be a part of a firm that values hard work, talent, and the ability to make a difference in protecting the rights of workers.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Wage and Hour Associate Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Handling all aspects of wage and hour class and representative actions, including intake, discovery, legal research, motion practice, and trial work.
2. Providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of employment and labor law issues, including wage and hour compliance, PAGA claims, and employment-related disputes.
3. Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinion letters, and other legal documents.
4. Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
5. Conducting detailed and comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
6. Collaborating with our team of attorneys to ensure the highest level of client service is provided.
7. Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect labor and employment law.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Wage and Hour Associate Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Associate Attorney, Labor and Employment Attorney, or Labor and Employment Lawyer.
3. Proven experience handling wage and hour class and representative actions.
4. Extensive knowledge of labor and employment law, including PAGA.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Admission to the state bar.
