Stanbridge University is seeking for a dynamic candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be the Vocational Nursing Clinical Coordinator for our Alhambra Campus. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing university.
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain clinical partner relationships.
- Clinical site acquisition based on current and future department needs.
- Complete and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and BVNPT applications.
- Provide strategic recommendations to attract new clinical partners.
- Responsible for ensuring the school's compliance with policies established by the clinical facility.
- Orient and mentor new clinical faculty, following their progress through the first 90 days of instruction.
- Complete clinical faculty observations and evaluations (90-day and End-of-Year).
- Complete routine site visits to ensure instructional compliance.
- Routinely perform lab check-in's to ensure course and institutional compliance.
- Oversight of student clinical hour completion as it pertains to course requirements.
- Includes performing course audits for timely submission of grades.
- Work with SS, instructor, and admin coordinator to arrange for student remediation events.
- Oversight of faculty and student health requirements as it pertains to each clinical facility (i.e. Complio).
- Oversight of clinical facility placement per course to ensure that students will meet clinical objectives for each term.
- Provide clinical instruction (as needed).
- Required to teach 1 clinical course per term and/or cover open clinical sessions based on the needs of the department.
- Required to substitute for clinical shifts, as needed.
- Timely communication and reporting to the Assistant Director.
- Status of site acquisition
- Status of clinical faculty orientation
- Report of any clinical concerns, etc.
- Assigned for weekend on-call (every 3rd weekend).
- Host quarterly clinical training sessions.
- Participate in department meetings and shared governance committees.
- Projects as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director.
Qualifications:
- Current and active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Four (4) years of bedside or clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card.
- Previous work experience in a patient care setting, hospitals, and/or skilled nursing facilities.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Up-to-Date Immunization Records

Physical Demands:
- The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.
- Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.
- Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.
- Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.
- Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.
- Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
