Asset categories include corporate, consumer, real estate, transportation, equipment, infrastructure, energy, intellectual property and other esoteric types. On behalf of ABF funds and clients, Oaktree:Purchases, or commits to purchase, assets, with or without leverageLends, or commits to lend, secured by assets, in a senior or mezzanine positionInsures, or provides capital relief against, assetsProvides essential capital to a business primarily engaged in the origination and servicing of assetsWhile Oaktree has significant experience successfully investing client capital in ABF opportunities as a sub-allocation to existing funds, Oaktree ABF represents Oaktree’s first client offering dedicated to ABF. Overview of Role & QualificationsThe ABF Asset and Data Management Vice President will manage data analytics, data information, activity, and decisions subsequent to Oaktree’s commitment to an investment, and will construct and manage the data architecture for asset and portfolio monitoring of the ABF strategy. The Vice President will:Advise on and negotiate each party’s reporting obligations at the time of investment. Provide front office oversight of both initial and follow-on funding of private investments. Review draw requests and borrowing base calculations provided by borrowers and agents.Review private borrower reporting for performance trends.Build data analytics models and systems (with the support of Oaktree’s Information Solutions teams) to support asset and portfolio management of ABF investments.Communicate with financing providers.Collect, organize and manage data and information about existing investments to support portfolio management decisions, client reporting, client diligence and portfolio construction.Drive the effort to build and develop the data architecture to support analytics for the ABF business..Manage relationships with agents, trustees, service providers and vendors.Participate in the valuation of existing investments.Work closely with the ABF investment team, legal, client service and trade operations.May oversee the management of off-shore staffing resourcesPerform other tasks or projects as requested.Experience required:10+ years’ experience in data analytics and asset management, ideally in the securitized products or Asset Backed Finance area, experience in portfolio management, client reporting or trade operations. Professional experience working with excel.
