The Vice President PSD Sales is primarily responsible for Power Systems sales in pursuit of the Company’s long term strategic plan. This work should be conducted in alignment with the company’s Vision, Values and Mission. As such, this individual evaluates, allocates and directs all human, physical and financial resources for this activity. This person is responsible for developing, monitoring and promoting the organization’s financial goals. Also included are: providing visionary and inspirational leadership, developing the organization’s human resources, managing capital resources, balancing stakeholder needs, overseeing daily operations, and collaborative team building. The person in this position is expected to collaborate with all stakeholder groups, to practice on-going self-development initiatives as well as demonstrate and champion alignment with the Core Business Values in their daily work actions. As part of a group of sales leaders, functional support areas and other HOLT Companies, this executive shares in a spirit of collaboration to ensure the continued stability and growth of Holt Company of Texas as well as other HOLT Companies.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions:
· Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
· Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
· Creates and implements the strategic business plan for PSD Commercial Engine Sales department to stimulate and promote revenues that meet PSD and corporate goals.
· Develop and implements sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
· Assigns sales territory to sales representatives
· Collaborates with key stakeholder groups
· Investigates, documents, and recommends the development of new markets, products or sales approaches to increase sales and rental revenues
· Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
· Oversees the formulation and delivery of sales training materials and efforts
· Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
· Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention
· Direct, coach and lead salespeople to increased revenues through the use of the sales tools, techniques and market information
· Excellent oral and written communication skill
· Strong knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen
· Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and large groups
· Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Driven and results oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets
· Strong technical aptitude and understanding of commercial engine equipment and rental industry
· Ability to partner with and influence with all levels of personnel within the organization
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, or Construction Management preferred.
· 10 or more years of directly related business management and/or operational management experience leading diverse sales teams and offering a broad range of product offerings.
· At minimum, 5 years of previous management experience required
· Experience managing sales team and diverse product offerings
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position directs and manages employees within assigned business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
· Up to 50% travel, to include overnight stays
· Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
· This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
· This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
· Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
· Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
· Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladder
· Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
· Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
· Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
Work Environment:
· This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
· Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
· Noise level may be loud at times
· Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment
· On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places.
· Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
