This is an opportunity to join the Segal organization during a period of changes that will support the company’s growth.
As Vice President, National Facilities, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of Facilities and Office Services (FOS) for the company. Key responsibilities include overseeing the real estate portfolio, managing lease transactions, office relocations, and expansion projects, as well as leading internal and external teams for successful project completion. The VP also handles the FOS capital and operating budget, business continuity planning, and emergency preparedness. Additionally, the role involves managing national contracts related to office services and ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
The VP collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer, Executive Team and others on a strategic basis to recommend and positively influence decision-making pertaining to best practice improvements and other enhancements in FOS efficiencies.
Integral to success in the role is the ability to effectively communicate and build meaningful working relationships with a diverse audience that includes National Facilities colleagues, IT, administrative contacts in Segal offices, Business Unit Leaders, HR and other support teams, Executive Team and the external vendor community supporting Segal’s real estate, construction, and office service needs. Although the position works in a highly collaborative environment, given the highly specialized and technical nature of the role, there is a great deal of independent thought leadership and expertise required to communicate ideas, strategies, and recommendations to different audiences within the company.
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and is based in the New York office, offering a flexible hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to supporting and/or leading the following:
- Manage the company’s real estate portfolio, design and construction and furnishing office spaces and oversee the facilities management and maintenance programs in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Lead teams (internal ones and external) with all lease negotiations;
- Actively lead teams (internal ones and be the liaison with external teams) on the design /construction and coordination of Segal controlled trades – cabling, security, signage, IT, and furniture for all offices (ensure conformance with company standards);
- Manage and oversee project management of all construction related projects and moves (creation and leveling of RFP’s, bids, and contracts);
- Oversee national contracts - purchasing/leasing, installing and servicing of new/replacement office equipment and services to include negotiating contracts and national agreements and preparing written recommendations and related communications for the purchase of replacement equipment and services for senior-management approval; Oversee vendor performance and compliance with SLA’s and contracts;
- Managing and leading the FOS team (includes office services, records, purchasing, mailroom and reception);
- Oversee compliance with IT Security policies about physical office space (SOC-2 and HIPAA compliance) as well as oversee the physical security for all offices including its security systems;
- Financial management of FOS including preparing of detailed cost estimates and various modeling for the acquisition of new or disposition of existing real estate;
- Oversee timely payment of all vendor invoices and seamless coordination with finance;
- Prepare quarterly Real Estate memo for Board of Directors meeting;
- Keep abreast of developments in the FOS marketplaces; identifying and recommending best-practice concepts and approaches to management enhancing the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the Company’s FOS services;
- Oversee the Company’s Business Continuity programs and Emergency Preparedness plans for all offices and serve as a member of the Core Response team.
- 10-13 years of experience managing real estate and facilities/office services functions (e.g., lease negotiations, office design and construction) and managing leading a diverse team.
- Knowledge of design and construction of corporate interiors.
- Knowledge of HVAC, security, and maintenance of office systems.
- Knowledge and experience with negotiating of office leases.
- Experience leading teams.
- Undergraduate degree (a plus).

The current salary range for this position is $190,000 to $210,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance.
