Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level two Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and SVOIP Technician position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
As a Level Two VOIP and SVOIP Technician, your primary responsibilities will include providing technical support for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of secure and non-secure VoIP services. Additionally, you will be responsible for engineering, furnishing, installing, and testing all necessary hardware and software to expand VoIP capabilities.
This role may require documenting and handling classified materials and access to secure facilities to perform daily tasks effectively.
Skills / Experience Required
- Secret Clearance
- 6 years of experience performing VOIP and SVOIP Technician functions
- Will engineer, furnish, install, and test all necessary hardware and software needed to expand the VoIP capabilities
- Will procure, install and configure the VoIP handsets as approved and furnished by the Government
- Will procure, install and configure handsets to the current call manager: Preferred type is Nortel/Avaya telephone sets or compatible devices (required by DOD directive to be firmware upgradable and Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6) capable)
- Will ensure that the base infrastructure systems (VoIP Server / Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server) (location on Government site to be determined by the local Government representative) and connectivity employed to support the voice/VoIP installations are readily acceptable from a hardware, software, and connectivity standpoint back to the main voice switch
- All programming and provisioning from the Base Central Office switch/Private Branch Exchange (PBX)/or Call VoIP server will be performed by the VOIP and SVOIP Technician
- Will build and provision voice mail boxes using the local Callware Voice Mail System

- Must possess and maintain an IAT I level certification

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.

Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000
