VIA (Port Installed Accessories) Program Specialist - BMW Of North America

About the Job
In support of BMW Group's business objectives, this position requires regular attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid). In-office days may be assigned by the line manager.
VIA Program Management:
- Determine product assortment with input from Accessory Product Specialists, VDCs, Regions, Dealers and Customers.
- Coordinate with Program Manager VIA, to create option codes, option naming, pricing, model applicability, start date, dealer order activation.
- Monitor and react to vehicle production changes that influence accessory option applicability. Collaborate with Product Planning and Accessory
- Product Specialists to ensure accessory compatibility due to upcoming model/product changes, to forecast new accessory option sales, plan special editions, reduce option errors, parts overstock issues.
- Work with Accessory Engineering and Technical Service to develop Special VDC installation instructions for more complicated accessory installs and Special Editions (installation bulletins when necessary).
- Create and distribute product offering information to dealers by updating Parts and Billing guide, product overview matrix, etc.
- Announce program and product changes to dealers via the Sales Roundtable, sales bulletins, PkoD, training classes, dealer meetings, regional/national conferences, etc.
- Work with Marketing and respective departments in BMW AG to ensure highlighted VIA products are listed on the BYO section of bmwusa.com.
- Increase collaboration with Corporate Communications to ensure press fleet vehicles include VIA options to promote program.
- Respond to dealer and regional inquiries regarding program questions.
- Interface with BMW AG (CA-22 and CA-33), US Parts Logistics and Accessory product managers to forecast demand and ensure availability of accessories without disruption of product offerings.
- Negotiate for better accessory part production capacity with BMW AG if current supply fails to meet market demand.
- Interface and travel to VDCs when necessary to meet with VDC management team to define strategic long term program plans and facility/labor capacity.
- Work closely with VDCs to determine labor capacity for accessory installations and long range planning for facility and manpower.
- Establish contingency plans with VDCs in the event of reduced accessory installation capacity due to technical campaigns, increased wholesale targets, etc.
- Coordinate between Accessory engineering/testing and VDCs to determine competency levels, installation efficiency, share best practices, process improvements, etc.
- Benchmark VIA program offerings vs other OEMs
VIA Pre-load Program:
- Work with Accessory Product Specialists to ensure pre-load product mix consists of profitable parts that meet dealer/customer demands.
- Negotiate with VDCs maximize volume of vehicles eligible for accessory pre-loads.
- Forecast upcoming pre-load volume increases to ensure adequate labor capacity and parts supply.
- Further increase Group Profit by working with Accessory Sales team and Regions to enhance the accessory pre-load program based on vehicles volume, part profit margins and installation process efficiencies.
VIA Program Reporting:
- Create reporting templates and compile reports as needed for program analysis.
- Issue monthly updates to regions and national management regarding pre-load and sales statistics.
- Analyze accessory pre-load penetration rates to ensure alignment with regional and national targets.
- Work closely with ABD Reporting team to create highly functional dashboards through Tableau / Cognos for key VIA Performance metrics.

The pay range for this role is: $59,077.00 - $70,048.00.
The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

- Bachelor's degree in in Business, Technology, or other equivalent industry experience
- One or more of the following:
- 3-5 Years Automotive OEM or Dealer Experience
- 3-5 Years Sales, Marketing, or relevant experience
- 3-5 Years BMW Technical Systems experience or another OEM Equivalent
Preferences:
- Energetic and self-motivated, excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project are a must.
- A strong knowledge of BMW internal systems including ATLAS, VMS, SAMS, IVSR, ETK, S-Gate, Vehicle inquiry, Infonet / Centernet
- Working knowledge of current industry standard reporting tools such as Tableau & Cognos desired
- Knowledge of OEM automotive, Personal / Consumer products industry with a focus on consumer trends and purchasing behavior
- Strong Data entry abilities - ability to automate where possible is a must
