Utility Construction/Lineperson Production Lead/Supervisor
seeking a motivated and highly skilled individual to provide planning, scheduling, reporting, and project management for utility line construction and maintenance. Must live in local area. Dade County Florida.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Promote safety consciousness and adherence to OSHA, utility, federal, state, and local safety requirements.
- Educate and negotiate with customers to address customer concerns professionally.
- Coordinate schedules for engineering, site preparation, equipment, and contract crew activity for Power Delivery maintenance, restoration activities, construction, storm hardening, and major system improvement/expansions.
- Oversee line contractor’s activity with internal/external customers for Power Delivery projects.
- Oversee and ensure timely delivery of appropriate materials and equipment to perform work. Respond to contractor questions concerning work specifications and requirements.
- Inspect, evaluate and provide cost-effective recommendations to address the movement of construction man hours.
- Inspect work completed by contractors for compliance with utility specifications.
- Assist in the management of contractors during storm restoration operations.
- Provide support and assistance on special projects as assigned by the utility.
- Manage Work Orders of all types and sizes about FPL Hardening and CMC workload.
- Provide oversight of construction contractors throughout all types of Utility construction work orders.
- Maintain constant oversight of crews' safe work practices and quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Microsoft Office Intermediate skills
- Basic Knowledge of electrical distribution system infrastructure
- Journeyman Qualified, preferred.
Education & Experience
- Advanced Degree (Bachelors, Masters in related field of study) strongly desired.
- 3+ years’ experience in Distribution Utility Operations.
- 2+ years of Utility Distribution Management.
Pre-Screen

License & Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License Required.
Physical Requirements:
- RARE (less than 10%): climbing poles, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., color vision, lifting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body twisting, crawling, manual dexterity, climbing on/off truck, gripping, reaching, range of motion, carrying, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing, lifting up to 10 lbs.
- FREQUENT (up to 66%): standing, walking, sense of touch, seeing distant, reading, hearing-speech range, depth perception.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing.
Safety
Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.

- May work around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chippers, and other equipment with hearing protection
- May be exposed to nature i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects, and dust
- May work on unlevel terrain
- May be exposed to dogs and other animals
