The demand for our services is growing. We are actively recruiting full-time employees to join our team. As an Underwriting Analyst working for the Strategic Property Associates Consents Team, you will have the opportunity to work for either one of our departments: DSCR, Lease Review, or SFR. These departments will train you to evaluate operating statements and rent rolls, read through loan documents, review contracts, and build cases for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how commercial real estate operates from an underwriting standpoint. No prior banking experience is required – you will work with and be trained by an experienced commercial mortgage team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive reviews of Commercial Real Estate operating statements and rent rolls.
• Formulate and adjust cell calculations using Microsoft Excel.
• Review terms per the Loan Agreements, Lease Agreements, and other legal documents.
• Write a concise and comprehensive review case for our clients.
• Work with internal team to ensure loan covenants are set up correctly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree or certified training in finance or loan document review.
• Experience in any channel of finance or loan document review.
• Enjoys analytics.
• Willingness to learn the commercial mortgage business.
• Strong oral and written business communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers in order to navigate and solve new challenges in a professional manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required-- particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.
• Strong administrative, organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills are a must.
• Commercial Real Estate Loan experience is a plus but not required.
