Job Description: The main function of a Quantitative User Experience Researcher is to design and analyze complex surveys to provide insights on how users interact with our client's products. This role involves managing projects, collaborating with various teams, and creating compelling data narratives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design highly complex surveys, including sampling and weighting approaches.
- Manage internal and external partner/vendor relationships to keep projects on track.
- Execute quality control protocols of survey data.
- Analyze large-scale survey and behavioral data sets.
- Create charts, decks, and notes from analysis, integrating multiple data strands into compelling narratives.
- Collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing managers, and engineers to ensure insights lead to business outcomes.
- Track surveys, perform data visualization, and set up meetings, documentation, and action items.
Skills:
- Exceptional quantitative research and statistical skills, including survey design, sampling, weighting, descriptive statistics, and hypothesis testing.
- Fluency in R for statistical analysis and SQL experience.
- Excellent data visualization skills.
- Ability to create clear and compelling insights and narratives from data.
- Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate actively as part of a cross-functional project team.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a quantitative field, particularly related to human behavior (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Economics, etc.).
- Around 10 years of experience in a product/user research setting.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Vendor management experience.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Ability to link outcomes to business decisions.
Performance Measurement:
- Providing reliable data analysis at scale.
- Delivering insights within timeframes.
- Setting up systems for quality control.
- Enabling smooth collaboration with vendors.
