We provide logistics, procurement, training services, and professional support to U.S. Government departments, the United Nations, NATO, and their associated agencies.
We are currently seeking a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Pilot/Project Manager. You will be responsible for operating UAS for a variety of missions, including surveillance, data collection, and logistical support. This role also involves project management duties, requiring the planning, execution, and oversight of UAS projects to ensure successful completion within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. The UAS Pilot/Project Manager will coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and efficiency in operations.
Key Responsibilities
UAS Operations
- Conduct UAS Flights: Pilot UAS for diverse missions including surveillance, reconnaissance, inspection, and mapping, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Flight Planning & Documentation: Develop flight plans, manage pre-flight inspections, and document flight logs, maintenance records, and mission reports.
- Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with FAA regulations, and manage risk assessments for all UAS operations.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather aerial imagery, video, and sensor data; process and analyze data as needed for client requirements.
Project Management
- Project Planning: Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and scopes to ensure successful project execution from initiation to close.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact with clients and stakeholders, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with team members, assign resources, and track progress against project milestones and deadlines.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain project documentation, deliver regular progress reports, and conduct post-project evaluations.
Technical & Operational Support
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of UAS equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Training & Mentorship: Provide training to junior UAS operators or team members, fostering a strong culture of safety and technical excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Assess operational performance and recommend improvements for future UAS operations and project management methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in UAS operations with demonstrated project management experience.
- Proficiency in UAS software and flight planning tools (e.g., DJI Pilot, Pix4D, or similar).
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations, UAS safety protocols, and risk management principles.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project management credentials.
- Experience working with U.S. Government or military contracts.
- Knowledge of advanced UAS technologies, such as LiDAR, thermal imaging, or multispectral sensors.
- Familiarity with GIS and mapping software.
