Main Responsibilities as a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney

• Assist clients with the preparation of comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Advise clients on tax strategies and implications related to estate planning and wealth transfer.
• Handle estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings and preparation of fiduciary accountings.
• Draft complex trust instruments and related documentation.
• Represent clients in estate and trust-related disputes, including litigation support.
• Conduct legal research and provide innovative solutions to complex estate planning challenges.

Core Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in trusts and estates law, including estate planning and administration.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Connecticut, with additional bar admissions to Massachusetts being a plus.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Experience with tax law or an LL.M. in Taxation is a plus.
