Are you a seasoned Trust and Estates Attorney with a passion for estate planning and probate law? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are a leading legal firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, transactional law, litigation, probate, and conservatorship. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse range of clients and provide comprehensive legal advice on complex trust and estate matters.
Responsibilities:
As a Trust and Estates Attorney, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Providing expert legal advice on a range of trust and estate matters, including estate planning, trust administration, probate, conservatorship, and related litigation.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
3. Representing clients in probate court proceedings and handling contested trust and estate litigation matters.
4. Advising clients on tax implications of their estate plans and assisting in the preparation of estate and gift tax returns.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in trust and estate law and regulations to ensure compliance and to provide clients with up-to-date legal advice.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Licensed to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a focus on estate planning, transactional law, litigation, probate, and conservatorship.
4. Proven track record of successfully handling complex trust and estate cases.
5. Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively represent clients in court.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
