Alamo Auto Supply is currently hiring an Automotive Installation Shop Foreman who has a minimum of 5 years of automotive installation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Purpose of Position:
Installation foreman is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Trowbridge installation facility and the installation team to provide installation services according to Company standards.
Primary Roles:
- LMA
- Create clarity of expectations and direction
- Provide necessary tools for success
- Focus on employee development by working actively with the installation team
- Reward and recognize both good and bad performance
- Scheduling and assigning installations
- Collaborate with Sales and installation admin when preparing for a project by providing schedule input, as well as helping with calculating times/hours of labor and on any installation scope of work
- Works with sales, customer service, and admin to drive work into the shop and maximize our utilization and productivity
- Quality control
- Following the scope of work and work order
- Installing products to manufacturer specs
- Providing technical support to the installation team
- Performs final walk around with sales and customers when needed
- Labor productivity
- Labor billed vs actual hours are met to company scorecard/metrics
- Identify opportunities for improvements with products and installations
- Labor utilization
- To utilize the installation team to meet company scorecard/metrics
- Ensure installers are punching in and out of work orders
- Safety and maintenance
- Promotes a culture of safety
- Identifying hazards and risks
- Training of safety policies and procedures
- Ensures all equipment and tools are operating to standards
- Responsible for shop supplies at Trowbridge
- Keep a good level of shop supplies, organize supplies and keep control of them at all times.
- Maintain and update shop supplies list
- Work closely with purchasing to ensure we are in stock on shop supplies
- Maintain non-purchasing shop supplies in stock
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages and drives budgets, materials, metrics, safety, processes. A supervisor is responsible to look after the work and performance of the whole unit or department. Leads the development of supervisors/employees. Supervisor has responsibility to counsel and authority to hire, fire, or promote.
Requirements:
The minimum requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided.
- High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of automotive installation experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of shop management-related supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Proficient computer skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong people skills
- Available to work extended hours
