Job Responsibilities: Assist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. Operate radiology equipment to capture images of the cardiovascular system, following physician instructions and adhering to safety protocols. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining informed consent, and positioning them correctly on the examination table. Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures, recognizing and responding to any changes in condition. Assist physicians by passing instruments, catheters, and other devices during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment. Administer contrast media as required, ensuring accurate imaging results while monitoring for any adverse reactions. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient data, imaging results, and any complications encountered. Perform routine maintenance and quality assurance checks on Cath Lab equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. Adhere to radiation safety standards and use protective measures to minimize exposure for patients, staff, and self. Collaborate with the healthcare team, including cardiologists, nurses, and other technologists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Requirements: Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, imaging techniques, and interventional procedures in a Cath Lab setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Proficiency with radiology equipment, catheterization techniques, and safety protocols. Active [STATE] Radiologic Technologist License in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech or in a similar role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
