Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years required License: KS or Compact License required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FHM, BLS, & NRP Must-Have: - 1.5 years of labor and delivery experience - Experience with LDRP, assisting with amniocentesis, spiral electrode placement, and using IUPC - Proficiency in assisting with sterile speculum exams, NST, OCT, reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams, and tele interpretation - Competence in using internal/external fetal monitoring, IVs, and medication administration - Expertise in high-risk delivery management, including forceps/vacuum, C-sections, neonatal care, newborn care, postpartum care, and surgical cases - Experience in settings such as antepartum, high-risk antepartum, labor and delivery, and mother-baby care Job Description: This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns in a supportive team environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will: - Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, including every other weekend - Deliver care in a variety of settings such as antepartum, labor and delivery, and mother-baby care - Manage high-risk deliveries, including using forceps/vacuum and assisting with C-sections - Provide comprehensive neonatal, newborn, and postpartum care - Assist with a variety of procedures, including sterile speculum examinations, non-stress tests (NST), oxytocin challenge tests (OCT), and reflex checks - Perform sterile vaginal exams and tele interpretation - Monitor and interpret fetal monitoring, both internal and external - Administer IVs and medications as needed - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and babies This opportunity welcomes first-time travelers, with an emphasis on reviewing qualifications and requirements on a case-by-case basis.
