- Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend required
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (01/27/2025 - 04/27/2025)
- BLS & ACLS: Required
- License: Current MA RN License required
- Tele Test: A tele test will be administered on the first day of orientation.
- Additional Requirements:
- COVID Vaccines + Booster required at the time of submission
- 2024-2025 flu vaccine required (attestation will be accepted if the candidate will receive it prior to the start date)

As a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, you will be part of a Float Pool, meaning you will provide care in various critical care areas, primarily ICU and PCU, as needed. You will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your role will include working with patients in critical condition who may require intensive monitoring and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Provide high-quality care for patients in critical and urgent conditions. This will include but is not limited to managing airway, hemodynamic monitoring, and supporting multi-organ failure management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Continuously assess patients’ health status, intervene as necessary, and provide accurate documentation in patient charts.
- Float Pool Duties: Be flexible and willing to float between various departments as needed. This will mainly involve critical care units like the ICU and PCU, but may also include other areas requiring critical care expertise.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to emergencies, including trauma situations, and follow established protocols to provide immediate life-saving measures.
- Patient Education: Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, conditions, and ongoing care requirements.
- BSN Required – A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a must.
- ICU Experience: 2-5 years of ICU experience required, with trauma experience (preferably in Trauma Level I settings).
- Epic Experience: Familiarity with the EPIC system for patient records and charting is required.
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure environments.
- BLS & ACLS Certified: Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Licensure: Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Tele Test: Must be able to successfully complete a tele test on the first day of orientation.
