About The Position
**Job Title:** Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Nursing **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (8-hour shifts; start may vary) **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** At least 1 year of RN experience **License:** Licensure in the state of practice required **Certifications:** BLS/CPR **Must-Have:** Proficiency in OASIS Start of Care Assessments, prior home health experience preferred, and proficiency in Netsmart EMR **Job Description:** - Administer medications and treatments to assigned clients and document care provided. - Assess clients to establish and reevaluate plans of care; ensure clients remain eligible for services. - Supervise, train, and evaluate home care aides; accompany aides on supervisory visits with clients. - Safeguard clients' property and maintain privacy and confidentiality of personal information. - Comply with HIPAA guidelines and agency policies, and follow local, state, and federal laws. - Provide clients with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with care plans. - Process and communicate physicians' orders promptly; notify physicians when necessary. - Receive and share client information; observe and report conditions to appropriate staff. - Explain procedures to clients and their families/significant others before and during care. - Utilize appropriate bag techniques and report signs/symptoms of client infections timely. - Maintain effective communication in English, both orally and in writing. - Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising performance of employees. - Address complaints and resolve problems, fostering an environment for employee engagement. - Travel required within a driving radius of 40 miles. - Expected to manage 5-6 cases per day. **Work Environment:** - Moderate noise level work environment. - Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. - Requires the ability to lift 35 lbs. **Additional Information:** - Local rates apply within 80 miles. - Mileage and drive time are billable. - Coverage of SNFs not required.
