Job Responsibilities: Assist patients with stretching and exercising specific muscle groups as directed by the Physical Therapist. Follow detailed instructions provided by the Physical Therapist to ensure effective treatment and patient progress. Work directly with the Physical Therapist to provide hands-on support to patients during therapy sessions. Communicate with patients' families to suggest effective at-home techniques that complement in-clinic therapy. Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment, ensuring that equipment and spaces are ready for patient use. Assist patients in moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area, ensuring safety and comfort. Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing paperwork, to support clinic operations. Teach patients techniques such as balance training, aiding in their recovery and improving their mobility. Engage in constant standing, frequent lifting/carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Use hearing and speech frequently to communicate effectively and distinguish sounds relevant to patient care. Frequently use vision for tasks requiring focus at both near and far distances, as well as for distinguishing colors. Participate in frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and data entry, with occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting of patients or objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasionally drive, kneel, sit, squat, and engage in other physical movements as required. Job Requirements: Active [STATE] Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License in good standing. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant or in a similar role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
