Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist
Your role as an Interventional Radiology Technologist includes:
Performing Procedures: Assisting with procedures like angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, stent placements, and venous access.
Patient Preparation: Preparing and comforting patients before and during procedures, explaining the process to reduce anxiety.
Operating Imaging Equipment: Ensuring clear, high-quality diagnostic images.
Administering Contrast Agents: Following protocols to administer contrast materials and medications safely.
Collaborating with Professionals: Partnering with physicians, radiologists, and other team members to achieve precise diagnoses and treatments.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Compliance: Adhering to hospital policies, safety standards, and quality protocols.

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
BLS Certification
ARRT Certification
MA License
2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
