ELECTRICIAN LEAD
QCELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial, Industrial, Distributed Generation, and Small Utility Scale solar markets. Our mission is to provide world class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US. Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers. We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our Teaneck, New Jersey headquarters.
SUMMARY
The Electrician Lead will provide support to the Construction Manager & Field Supervisor of the installation team and ensure the completion of installation of all solar arrays and solar systems for Commercial Properties. It is the responsibility of each Installer to ensure safe work practices for the installation team.
This positionreportstothe Site Superintendent, oranotherseniormanagementpersonnelthatthe Head of QCELLS Enable LLC maydesignate. This position location will be hybrid and based on the project job locations. 100% travel required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION &RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partake in all aspectsof Solar farmconstructionfromconceptiontocompletion
- Transport, secure, and installphotovoltaic (PV) modules
- Assist in connectingmakingseries/parallel stringconnection
- Affix wirestostructurealignedwith plan setspecifications
- Assist in wirepulls and labeling
- Ability toread plan sets and wire PV arrayaccordingtotheplans
- Make MC4 orsimilarfieldconnections on PV wire
- Use a machinethreaderfor Rigid MetalConduit
- Ground and Bond accordingtothe plan set
- Perform inter-row and inverter/combiner/disconnecttrenching
- Installelectricalequipmentracking
- Install inter-row, inverter/combiner/disconnect, and rackingconduit
- Perform DC wire and groundingterminations
- Perform testsincludingmeggar, polarity, VOC and IV curve trace
- Perform AC terminations – inverter, disconnects, grounding
- Perform AC trenching, conduitinstall, wirespulls, and labeling
- Assist withconcreteequipmentpadexcavation, forms, rebar, conduit and grounding
- Assist withequipmentlifts/placement and AC wiring
- Quality control - inspections, documentation, and electronic submittal
- Safety - inspections, documentation, and electronic submittal
- Crew oversight and management
- Maintenance ofcrewproductionschedule
- Lead Safety Toolbox talks, Complywith Job Hazard Analysis and Site SpecificSafety Plan
- Coordinate and attend 3rdparty, municipalityorutilityinspections/energizations
- Select tools, materials and equipment
- Reporting and coordinationwithQcellsmanagementteam
- Regular attendance, in accordancewithcompany'sattendancepolicy and supervisoryassignment, is an essential jobdutyrequirementforthisposition
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ yearsofcommercialelectricexperience
- 3+ yearsofcommercialelectricexperience in a leadershiprole
- Experience in constructinggroundmounted PV and/or ESS projects
- Ability towork in all weatherconditions in New York State
- Ability tolift 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Knowledge ofbuildingproducts, constructiondetails and relevant rules, regulations and qualitystandards
- Basic computerliteracy and competencywiththe Microsoft suiteofsoftware
- FamiliaritywithProcoreorotherprojectmanagementsoftware
- Ability toprioritizeworkactivity, delegatestasks and motivate a crew
- Ability totravelwithinthe New York State, upto 100% ofthe time;
- Ability toread plan sets and installaccordingly
- Ability toworkwithin a team and workindependently
- Ability towork a varietyofhours, includingoccasionalevenings and weekends;
- Valid Drivers License & Clean DrivingRecord.

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION
The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located traveling to different job sites, but with frequent visits to Teaneck, NJ is $45.00 - $55.00 per hour.
The above-listed salary range is required by the New York Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Teaneck, NJ. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
