POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Training and Development, People Services – EnviroVac University, is responsible for the needs assessment, design, preparation, and delivery for all non-safety-related EnviroVac training and development programs. He/she is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive training and development curriculum for all roles from entry-level field positions to leadership and management roles. This position designs and delivers training materials and modules, directly or indirectly utilizing third-party vendors, agencies or institutions, where appropriate, that ensure that all EnviroVac team members are equipped to deliver high-performance in the service of EnviroVac clients.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds and maintains partnerships across the organization to identify current and future needs, to deliver value-added support to business leaders and associates, and to support the strategic direction and achievement of business objectives.
- Analyzes business and industry trends and metrics to develop and recommend solutions, programs, and services (e.g., process improvements, best practices, organization design, leadership development, etc.) to enhance training and operational outcomes that are consistent with the company’s goals and business needs and to encourage continuous performance improvement.
- Establishes and maintains trust and credibility with business leaders, stakeholders, and associates. Builds and maintains positive relationships and works collaboratively in an effective manner with associates, managers, informal leaders, “Brand Ambassadors”, the EnvroVac executive and leadership teams.
- Develops strong relationships with educational institutions and governmental agencies that through those relationships, strategic training and development programs will be delivered and funded.
- Creates, develops and implements creative, effective and comprehensive training and development through traditional and e-learning methods Develops and/or facilitates the development of both classroom and on-the-job (OJT) programs to enhance skills of operational teams, professional, management, and other hourly staff.
- Reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and input (e.g., program success, associate new hire training retention, etc.), in concert with the HR team, identifies recurring related issues, conducts trend analysis, identify root causes, develop solutions, and provide recommendations, interventions, and solutions based on findings
- Develops and executes a long-term strategy, methodology, and management of training strategy and technology.
- Identifies individual and team skill gaps, developmental areas, and opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to advance individual and team capabilities.
- Working closely with VP, People Services, creates methods and identifies resources that support the execution of development plans and activities, resulting in an effective talent succession program.
- Where appropriate, “certifies” training staff and other key individuals and to conduct training for their respective functions or locations.
- Ensures support and compliance with all appropriate federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field desired; Associates degree: minimum preferred
- Minimum three years of proven team leadership
- Five or more years of proven experience with learning and development, facilitation and content development.

- Consulted with internal business clients, and, external agencies or vendors regarding training and development resources and delivery
- Managed multiple projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality in a fast-paced, demanding, environment.

- Relevant training content creation software and presentation software
- Windows/Mac OS
- Office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners

- Other software as applicable
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Typical office environment
- Group environment working as part of a functional team.
- Travel to company locations, if required, to meet with internal stakeholders
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to organize various office systems through adjusting, connecting, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending or folding for the purpose of proper records development and/or management
- Ability to use a computer and related devices, such as a keyboard or mouse or other related equipment, throughout the workday while seated at a desk or workstation
