About the Job
L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as an Acoustical Engineer.
- Prepare, review, and implement construction noise control and monitoring plans of construction projects
- Design and oversee the implementation of construction noise and vibration control measures
- Conduct acoustical and vibration measurements
- Analyze data for environmental noise and vibration, HVAC noise, reverberation times, reflection pattern, and sound isolation
- Bachelor's Degree in physics or an engineering degree in electrical, mechanical, or acoustical engineering
- OSHA 30 Certification
- 5-7 years of experience in noise control engineering or construction noise analysis and noise control
- Relevant experience reviewing local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements regarding noise, acoustics and vibration
- Experience with acoustical modeling software and technical tools to support acoustics/noise analyses and recommendations preferred
- Experience with providing acoustical solutions that address sound isolation, room acoustics, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) noise and system noise preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Engineer in Training (EIT); first part of Professional Engineer's license or Professional Engineer's (PE) license preferred
- Must possess and demonstrate clear and concise written skills
