SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Test Engineer, Senior to plan, design, and evaluate products to ensure that the final product is easily identifiable and thoroughly tested.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
· Review requirements to ensure tests will satisfy specifications and identify gaps.
· Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and program teams to create detailed test plans that align with mission objectives and requirements.
· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process.
· Proven track record in leading or executing comprehensive test strategies for complex software or hardware systems.
· Generate test data to validate functional and technical requirements.
· Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues effectively during the testing process.
· Lead/participate in project reviews.
· Provide documentation and regular progress reports for test cases.
· Oversee and direct work of junior test engineers.
· May serve as a technical team leader.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or similar.
· Ten (10)+ years of professional experience working as a test analyst, systems engineer, test engineer, or similar.
· Three (3) to five (5) years of specific engineering experience related to engineering discipline.
· Preferred:
o Previous experience with Navy Navigation systems or related navigation software systems.
o Experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
o Knowledge in advanced Mission Based Test Design (MBTES).
o Familiarity with Agile or iterative development processes, and the ability to adapt testing strategies accordingly.
o Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and reliability in testing processes.
