Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Test Engineer

We have a position for an experienced HIL test engineer to work on systems verification and validation tests, documenting and analyzing the results on embedded software controls.
Job Location: Local to Columbus, IN area and capable to travel into building depending on project needs, approximately 3-4 days in the office weekly.

What you will be doing:
- Developing manual test plans, executing, documenting, etc...
- NI TestStand automated scripts
- Hardware-in the loop bench testing of controls systems
- Technical requirements gathering, design profile development, DVPR development/execution/administration
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Engine HIL test
- Electronics OR controls background
- HIL testing
- MATLAB Simulink development

- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Engine control system familiarization (highly desired)
- AUTOSAR knowledge
- Hardware (sensors, ECUs, harnessing) - experience with wiring harness test (highly desired)
- Reading schematics and technical documentation
- Validation/Verification Test Plans of hardware and software features (required)
- Good communicator – written and verbal
- An effective problem solver who is comfortable using analytical tools.
- Eager to learn; ask questions
- Self-motivated
- Self-manage and communicate what they are working on and issues discovered
