Job Summary
The Territory Head for the East Coast, US will lead strategic growth in the Medical Devices vertical, managing a $20M+ portfolio across the East Coast. This leadership role involves spearheading sales efforts, nurturing client relationships, and guiding a team of 3-4 sales professionals. Reporting to the North America Head of Sales for Medical Devices, the Territory Head will be integral in positioning the company's advanced engineering solutions within the medical devices industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Growth: Manage and grow a $20M+ portfolio in the medical devices sector, targeting surgical devices, diagnostics, imaging, and digital healthcare markets.
- Team Leadership: Oversee a team of 3-4 sales professionals, mentoring and driving performance to exceed territory revenue goals.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy focused on new business and expansion within existing accounts.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain C-level relationships with key stakeholders, promoting services in product design, regulatory compliance, digital engineering, and connected healthcare.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, R&D, and delivery teams to deliver customized solutions for medical device clients.
- Contract Management: Lead commercial negotiations and oversee contract management to ensure alignment with client goals and profitability.
- Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, FDA regulations, and advancements in med-tech to inform strategic decisions.
- Performance Reporting: Utilize data-driven strategies to report on sales performance, pipeline status, and key metrics to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 20+ years in sales, business development, or account management, specifically within the medical devices or healthcare technology sectors.
- Proven Success: Demonstrated success in managing $20M+ portfolios, achieving double-digit revenue growth, and building client relationships in med-tech.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FDA regulations, product lifecycle, and digital health solutions.
- Leadership Abilities: Experienced in leading high-performing sales teams and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently across the East Coast for client meetings and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with robotics, IoT, and AI-driven solutions in the medical devices industry.
- Knowledge of FDA regulatory pathways, clinical trials, and product development.
- Relevant certifications in sales strategy, project management, or medical device qualifications.
