Benoist Brothers Supply. is a distributor of quality HVAC equipment and supplies to residential and commercial contractors with 10 locations in 5 states. We are looking for an Territory Manager to join our team at our Evansville, IN location.
Establishes and expands relationships with current and prospective customers by discussing their needs and explaining how their needs can be met by specific products and services within the territory. This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Growing sales and providing premium customer service to existing HVAC dealer accounts
- Identifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Analyses competitor activities in the region and assessing opportunities for business development.
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
- Negotiate prices or terms of sales
- Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and submits orders for processing.
- Attends trade shows to research and stays current with new products and technologies. Attends conferences and conventions to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.
- Participates in company-sponsored meetings to review sales performance, product development, sales goals, and profitability.
- Collaborates with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
- Putting together sales strategies to target large accounts.
- Keeping up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business..
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains customer records
- Keeps up to date with industry news to identify opportunities for new business.
- Analyze sales activities or trends
- Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with specialization in technology preferred.
- Previous industrial, wholesale or distribution sales experience
- Relevant industry background gained from a competitor or company in a related industry.
- Excellent people skills and an ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
- Excellent self-motivation with a proven track record of success
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
