We are searching to hire in the area of quantum engineering across all ranks. Faculty holding the current rank of Associate or Full Professor will be considered to fill the Karl Gustafson Endowed Chair of Quantum Engineering (https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=5748942&targetURL=https://www.colorado.edu/engineering/2022/02/01/honoree-hopes-new-endowment-will-lead-quantum-breakthrough) . The successful candidate is expected to join the Quantum Engineering Initiative of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, as well as take advantage of Boulder's rich quantum environment that includes JILA and NIST. Ideal candidates will be integral to the highly-collaborative, diverse, and multi-disciplinary quantum science and engineering community at the University of Colorado. Scholars with backgrounds broadly covering all areas of quantum information science and engineering are encouraged to apply. This includes theorists and experimentalists with demonstrated scholarly excellence that is synergistic with our existing strengths, as well as those that bring expertise in exciting new areas.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
+ Successful candidates will be expected to engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring; develop an externally funded research program in their technical area; contribute professional leadership and service to their unit, the college, and their professional community; and cultivate and contribute to the inclusive excellence of our academic community.
+ The typical distribution of work for this role is 40% teaching, 40% scholarly and creative work (research), and 20% leadership and service.

+ The anticipated start date for this position is Fall 2025, but a later start date may be negotiated.

What We Can Offer
+ The anticipated academic year salary range for this position at the Professor rank is $175,000 - $250,000.
+ The full academic year salary range for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor is $115,000 - $250,000, depending on rank.
+ Faculty that hold the Gustafson Endowed Professorship will provide an additional 10% stipend based off of academic year salary.
+ A relocation stipend may be available within CEAS guidelines.
