Working knowledge of Windows based PC applications is required.
Experience in surgical scheduling, procedures, etc. is preferred.
Ability to work independently and take direction.
Demonstrated ability to read and follow written/verbal direction.
Sensitive to diverse cultures and cultural differences.
Knowledge of community services.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, multifaceted position.
Good telephone communication skills.
Must be flexible to cover for vacations and earned time absences.
Flexible hours required.
Self-motivated and ability to be independent and flexible within a team framework.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.

When Newport Hospital closed in 1991, New London Hospital (NLH) and its Board of Trustees recognized the continuing need for primary care and additional services for the Newport community. To fill this need, we opened the Newport Health Center (NHC).
NHC offers convenient evening hours as well as same-day appointments.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
3+ years CMA experience in Clinic Setting in family practice
MUST be a CERTIFIED Medical Assistant
Previous travel experience - Preferred
Assignment is at Newport Health Center Family Medicine Clinic
Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Founded in 1918, New London Hospital is a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital serving 15 communities with in the Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region in central New Hampshire providing primary care and specialized clinical services in a patient and family centered environment.
As a partner of the Dartmouth Health Network, NLH is able to bring health care experts into the community both in New London and at our Newport Health Center (NHC) so residents are not required to travel away from their home community to seek academic-level care. NLH currently offers nearly 20 specialty services with over 60% of providers dual-credentialed at both NLH and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC).
Nestled in the town of New London in the shadow of Mt. Kearsarge, NLH sits 30 miles north of Concord and 30 miles south Hanover off I-89.
For more than two centuries, New Hampshire s Lake Sunapee Region is considered the ideal New England destination for travelers and locals.
With a fantastic mix of shops, services, restaurants and entertainment, the area offers a relaxed lifestyle and boasts a wide variety of activities during all four seasons. The streets and greens of these neighboring communities come alive during the summer months with festivals, farmers markets, concerts, fairs and parades.
