Position: Technical Writer (Automation)
Location: Libertyville, IL 60048 onsite
Duration: 6+ months
Can you translate complex technical info into clear documents? Have you created technical documentation for change protocols, change plans and Business Operating Procedures for PLCs? Have you worked in a manufacturing environment with Automation PLCs?
Are you detail-oriented and love clear communications! I am seeking a Technical Writer to support documentation as it relates to automation equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & maintain automation documentation (protocols, change plans, validation documentation, etc.)
- Create & update system docs (BOPs)
- Collaborate with engineers & operations for accurate info.
- Write clear, concise docs for automation projects & maintenance.
- Manage document control processes.
- Review & improve existing documentation.
- Train staff in using technical documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Technical Writing) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in technical writing (manufacturing/engineering preferred)
- Experience with automation & validation documentation.
- Strong understanding of GMP documentation practices & regulations
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- A technical background in Pharmaceuticals (or similar) is desirable.
- Familiarity with automation control systems PLCs (Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, DeltaV)
