Position: Technical Support Specialist
Location: ONSITE in San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6-month contract (extensions and permanent possible)
Pay Rate: $15-19/hour (depending on experience)
Must Haves:
- 2-4+ years' experience in a service desk, help desk, IT support, field support, or desktop support role
- Experience resolving tier 1 and/or tier 2 hardware and/or software related issues (imaging, reimaging, deploying, configuration, troubleshooting, updating, upgrading, etc.)
- Experience responding to user requests using a ticketing system (Remedy, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.) and via other sources such as via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Experience with Active Directory
- Customer service experience providing remote and in-person IT support
Plusses:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT related field
- IT related certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, AWS, etc.
Day-to-Day:
As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical user support by installing, updating, upgrading, maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software related tier 1 and tier 2 tickets.
Responsilbities may include:
- Configuring workstations for new users and upgrading existing equipment and software
- Setting up and maintaining network and telecommunication systems
- Troubleshooting LAN, server, and connectivity issues
- Imaging and re-imaging computers
- Performing data migrations and restorations
- Creating, modifying, and terminating users using Active Directory
- Resolving Outlook related issues, multi-factor authentication, password reset, etc.

- Pay Day: You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week’s hours next Friday.
- Holidays/Time Off: While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are they hours you will be paid. We do not offer paid sick days, paid time off, or paid holidays, except as required by applicable law.
