About the Job
Sentec is seeking a motivated Technical Support & Service Technician to join the Service team in Lincoln, RI. This position will primarily perform troubleshooting, repairs, and support of transcutaneous blood gas monitoring systems and medical respiratory devices. This position will primarily work with customers, territory managers and cross functional departments within the organization to ensure the highest quality of customer satisfaction. This is an in-person position based in the Lincoln, RI office; working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide service and repair on all Sentec and Percussionaire products including replacing and/or repairing required components.
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, test and perform routine and complex repairs on returned medical devices.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers via phone, teleconference, or email.
- Organize, test and update medical devices, install and replace hardware and software upgrades.
- Work to troubleshoot and provide resolution to polysomnography (PSG) connectivity issues.
- Log any formal customer complaints and incoming customer calls/emails in the quality management system (QMS) for traceability and to identify failure trends.
- Work cross-functionally within the organization.
Qualifications/ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required with preference in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a technical support and/or service repair position required; preferably within the medical device field.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically Oracle Netsuite preferred.
- Experience with QMS systems, specifically Qualio or QT9 preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Outlook).
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, problem solving and creative thinking skills.
- Well organized, excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast- paced, self-directed environment.
- Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Strong decision making, attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule if business dictates.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- This position regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis. This position involves repetitive motions throughout the day and is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
