The Department of Health and Welfare, Financial Services Bureau, has an opportunity for a full-time position in Revenue Operations as a Technical Records Specialist 1 in Boise. This team is responsible for processing billing and collections on behalf of department programs.
This position may be eligible for telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training.
This is an ongoing announcement which means at the time applicants apply, we may or may not have an opening. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Perform complex and difficult program support functions for multiple or highly specialized programs.
- Devise solutions that fall outside of existing policies and procedures using authority, knowledge, and judgment.
- Problem solve and negotiate with the authority to act on decisions made.
- Serve as a program expert and provide guidance and assistance regarding complex program rules and regulations to office staff and external customers.
- Demonstrate good public relation skills during frequent contact with internal and external customers.
- Function with considerable independence and exercise discretion in applying policies and procedures.
- Communicate and apply extensive knowledge of department programs and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. - Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
- Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems. Typically gained by one year of full-time work experience.
- Experience interpreting, explaining and applying regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments. These complex decisions could have affected the social or economic well-being of others or would result in a service or action being denied. Typically gained by one year of work experience.
- Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system. Typically gained by six months of work experience.
- Good knowledge of excel, word and outlook. Typically gained by at least 6 months of work experience where these tasks were part of your daily duties.
- Customer service experience. Typically gained by 1 year of professional customer service experience.
