What will your job entail?
Job Specific
- Portfolio Management - Provide oversight of the full RSB project portfolio, ensuring accountability through all phases including business impact, tracking, implementation, transitioning to operations, and the ROI/value realization; ensures alignment with the business' goals and priorities
- Project Management Strategy - Ensure RSB projects are executed utilized the established project management protocols with oversight of the portfolio roadmap. Create and set vision for future state
- Cross-functional Senior Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with senior leaders across RSB and influence regarding process gaps or opportunities. Align on measurement approach. Promote alignment of priorities, initiatives and investment to vision and strategic direction
- Key Performance Indicators - Monitor, evaluate, and maintain KPIs for the PMO so the right projects are done the right way at the right time for maximum benefit
- Rhythm of the Business - Maintain the ROB for the PMO, including reporting, content, event, and strategic planning
- Leading Change - assist in the maturity of the RSB organization using PMO best practices
- Talent and Resource Management - As appropriate, recruit, lead, develop, train, and engage any additional project managers required to deliver the RSB initiatives
- Ensure all projects have appropriate governance balancing sponsors risk appetite with governance cost
- Ensure completion conditions for all projects are defined and met prior to a project being handed over to the operations function
- Build professional capability in the discipline of project management, portfolio management and change management
- Work with the business to ensure that business requirements are gathered and documented; ensure all business requirement artifacts are complete and authorized by the sponsor
- Troubleshoot project issues and engage the appropriate resources as needed and create a project improvement plans
- Ensure all necessary parties are engaged to successfully complete the program/project (e.g. Business Leaders, IT Delivery, IT Architecture, HR, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Change Management, etc.)
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners/ sponsors, internal and external
- Facilitate and manage project communication within IT teams, stakeholders and clients through the use of best practices and regular portfolio reports
- Ensure project compliance within established standards, track project risks proactively and create mitigation plans for serious risks
