Tax Supervisor - Talnt

About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Tax Supervisor to lead client engagements, manage the review of complex tax filings, and develop client relationships. This role requires expertise in tax planning, compliance, and staff supervision. The Tax Supervisor will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring high-quality service, and providing strategic tax insights to clients while mentoring team members and collaborating with firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Advisory: Act as a primary contact for clients, staying updated on industry trends, identifying client needs, and providing tax strategy guidance.
• Engagement Management: Oversee and review tax return preparation for various entity types, ensuring quality control and budget compliance.
• Technical Review: Conduct detailed reviews of complex tax filings, including federal, multi-state, and international returns for C Corps, S Corps, partnerships, and trusts.
• Team Collaboration and Development: Work closely with firm leadership on tax planning and compliance strategies; mentor junior staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Qualifications:

• Certification: CPA or Enrolled Agent required.
• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ProSystem fx Tax, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in public accounting with experience in tax review and preparation.
• Leadership: Prior supervisory experience in a tax or accounting role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mergers & Acquisitions: Experience in mergers, acquisitions, or corporate reorganizations.
• Client-Focused: Strong client service orientation with a proactive approach to consulting and compliance.
• Problem Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving tax-related challenges efficiently.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in training, supervising, and supporting team members.
