ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Tax Supervisor specializing in the Consumer Products Group will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, manage tax compliance, and provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients within the consumer products industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, mentorship skills, and a thorough understanding of tax regulations and their application to the consumer products industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities within the consumer products industry.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations and timely filing of all tax returns.
Oversee the maintenance and management of tax records and documentation.
Provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to clients in the consumer products industry.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and implement effective tax strategies.
Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and develop practical solutions to minimize tax liabilities.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing and nurturing strong client relationships.
Understand clients' business operations and industry-specific challenges to provide customized tax advice.
Communicate complex tax issues clearly and effectively to clients, keeping them informed of tax developments and their implications.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the consumer products industry.
Contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices and tax department initiatives.
Develop and implement efficient tax processes and procedures to enhance productivity and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA highly preferred.
Experience:
4+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on consumer products industry.
In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation:
Competitive annual salary in the range of $115,000 to $142,000 based on individual’s experience level.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA highly preferred. Candidates should have over 4 years of experience in tax, focusing on the consumer products industry. Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, proven leadership and supervisory skills, and excellent communication and client relationship skills are essential. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
Competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $142,000 based on experience level.
