Tax Specialist – Boston
A leading Boston based Hedge Fund is looking to bring on a Tax Specialist to their growing team! As the Tax Specialist, you will report to the Tax Senior, and work closely with other team members and the tax return papers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all tax deliverables for the funds. We are seeking candidates who have 3+ years of experience within public accounting, exposure to partnership tax, and hold a CPA license. This is an onsite (5 days/week) opportunity that will offer $95K+ on a base, a strong bonus and excellent benefits.

As the Tax Specialist, you will report to the Tax Senior, and work closely with other team members and the tax return papers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all tax deliverables for the funds. Responsibilities:
- Computations of partnership taxable income, partnership book and tax allocations, tax estimates, schedule k-1’s and tax returns
- ASC 740 Uncertain Tax Position analyses
- Monthly NRA withholding statements
- Month-end close process
- Analyze and identify book-to-tax differences
- Document tax and accounting policies and procedures
- Assess and evaluate reporting process and systems to ensure they are efficient and effective
- Work with internal technical resources to enhance existing processes
- BA degree in accounting or finance, MST preferred
- CPA is required
- 3-5 years of public accounting experience working on financial services clients
- Must have exposure to partnership tax
- Knowledge of fixed income securities, derivatives and complex financial statements
- Ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external resources
